Our Nursery Uniform
At Ladybird Nursery, we want every child to feel a sense of belonging as they begin their early learning journey with us. That is why each new child starting at Ladybird Nursery receives a special welcome pack, includfing a ladybird rucsac. As a special surprise, children are also given their very own ladybird toy, which is our much-loved nursery mascot, to help them settle in and feel part of our Ladybird family. For an additional cost, a cosy jumper and smart polo top – perfect for wearing during our daily adventures are also available.
We pride ourselves on offering a rich, hands-on learning experience where children are free to explore and create. Whether it’s digging in the mud kitchen, splashing in water play, getting creative with paints or sprinkling glitter during craft time, children at Ladybird Nursery are always busy discovering the world through play. We do provide aprons and outdoor clothing to help protect what they are wearing but, inevitably, some mess is part of the fun! We advise that children come dressed in clothes that you don’t mind getting a little bit mucky, as it’s all part of a day well spent.
Our priority is ensuring your child feels confident, safe, and free to explore – whatever they are wearing!
Drink and Snack
We encourage children to bring their own labelled water bottle to nursery, which they can refill and sip throughout the day.
At break time, children are offered fruit, and a healthy snack, such as breadsticks, rice cakes, crackers or cheese, to keep their energy levels up and fuel their play and learning. If you would like to provide your child with an additional healthy snack, you are welcome to do so.
Communication
We will inform you about key dates via email and on our website. We will keep you up to date with your child’s progress through face to face conversations and via our learning journals. Parents’ Evenings are held twice a year; however our staff are available during drop off and pick up times daily.
