Forest School
Children are encouraged to explore the outdoor environment. We encourage children to take supported risks that are both age-appropriate and suited to the natural environment. They take part in a wide range of hands-on activities such as tool use, building, crafting with natural materials, den making, and imaginative free play. Our outdoor sessions are designed to support the holistic development of every child, nurturing resilience, confidence, creativity, and a deeper understanding of the natural world. Our outdoor learning complements and enriches the broader curriculum and topics the children are exploring in the classroom.
Useful Information
We aim to go outdoors everyday (rain or shine). We provide waterproof clothing, but children are encourage to bring their own wellies – especially during the wetter months!
We link outdoor learning to our classroom projects, with child-led exploration at the heart of every session.
